View Full Version : NBA: When do the Spurs flip the switch?

They do this every year. The first two or three months of the season, they play average or shitty basketball then when January or February comes around, they flip the switch and go on a big ass winning streak.

I only ask this because Memphis can't keep up the pace they're on. I know they have the best record but it's not even January. I expect the Spurs to flip the switch soon and go on a double digit game winning streak. The Spurs aren't shitty this year but not great. However, I know Pop loves resting his players and it usually pays off.

the're in the midst of a cupcake schedule, so they should be able to pile on a bunch of wins in the near future. they typically play their best after the ASB... the health situation being a wildcard of course

Better question: when do they overtake the Grizzlies as division leader?

It doesn't matter, home court means shit in the playoffs, and THEY know this. As soon as the Grizz show up in April the Spurs will punch them in the mouth. By the time it's over they'll be genuflecting at Pop & Duncan.

The only team the Spurs truly need homecourt against is the Thunder, and thats pretty much done now, so the Spurs can coast.

As long as Fatty Patty does not return, the Spurs will continue to roll.

Lookin back, this is pointless because we all know the Spurs are the favorites to win the West. Who will beat them? OKC, monkeyball, Memphis, my Mavs, Rockets, or that other team in California? I just don't see it happening.

Mavs can realistically 'upset' the Spurs now that OKC is struggling. Houston too, but McHale is a shit coach and Howard is mental midget.
