I wanted Green to shoot a contested 3, he was that hot, but from a basketball perspective, it was the correct call, tbh..

Danny was the decoy, and it led to Manu getting a completely wide open 3 IIRC..

Pretty much. Plus Pop gonna enjoy getting on their asses about the D on teletronic tonight.

If you're gonna bench Parker for sucking, then same should go for Manu.

Duncan was atrocious on offense but he wouldn't have thrown up crap like what #20 did.

Dam Green couldn't miss. What a waste.

The chances of making a wide open or contested 3 is the same either way for Manu. Good decoy but its not 2007 Ginobili anymore

If he made the shot he would have been the hero on Spurstalk tonight so I can't really fault him for taking it. Regardless, he's a 37 year old that just had 15/6/5 game with no turnovers. An overall good performance. Still wondering why our 31 year old "all-star" was sulking on the bench all game instead of cheering his teammates.

Key word is IF. He chucked up dumb shots in OT while Green was on fire. Not to even mention the wide open 3 he have Williams to start the OT

Stop crying people, it was a good look, Pop obviously didnīt want to go to a second overtime or he would have called for a 2 point play.
Green and Leonard were well covered, Duncan had been unreliable all night and it was a clear foul on Ginobili. The defender literally jumped on him.

The Spurs didn't record a field goal in the extra session until Danny Green hit a right corner 3-pointer with 1:38 left, pulling the defending champions within 95-93.

Manu Ginobili, though, missed a pair of potentially go-ahead triples in the final 1:06, including one in the final five seconds to seal the outcome

Yeah, but it's worse when they lose to a WC playoff team. Hopefully they're still salty enough about the loss to get a win against the Grizz.

It's tough either way I guess. But the Nets? Ultra-disgusting.

tim_duncan_fan
12-05-2014, 02:34 AM
Why?

Because Tim would post up without any confidence in his abilities even though it's his 18th year in the league and he's been an All-Star 15 times and immediately have the ball stripped by whoever he posts up against regardless of the other guy's defensive acumen.

Tony would dribble left and right in a 3-foot space for 20 secs before driving the lane into 3 defenders and lamely falling on the deck as the other team takes the ball back up court.

Kawhi would pass the ball off immediately.

Boris shouldn't have to be the guy.

We could rely on Green's winning attitude and ice-water veins, but while he is definitely getting better at it, dribbling while pressured is still a huge problem for him.

That pretty much leaves Manu, unless we want to trust CoJo, and you never know which CoJo you're going to get.

Johnny RIngo
12-13-2014, 06:23 AM
He goes to Manu because TD isn't a iso-scorer anymore and Leonard isn't quite ready to be a closer. And Parker flat out sucks the past two years. If you want to blame anymore, blame TP for being so awful that he needs to be benched for Cory Joseph in close games. Someone has to handle the ball down the stretch and that responsibility falls to Manu. Embarrassing that a 37 year old is still relied upon to be the closer while our 32 year old "all-star" point guard isn't even good enough to stay on the court. Point guards are supposed to run a team's offense. Unfortunately, neither of our point guards(TP/Cojo) can do this.
