I don't see the comparison tbh. Vince Young was just bum fucking stupid and nothing was going to change that. RG3's problem is how arrogant he is/how great he thinks he is. He refuses to learn how to do more than stare down his first option since it worked out OK in his rookie season when he heard nothing but hype and comments about how he was the great black hope.

Yeah their situations are different, but the level of mental weakness from being told how great they are seems to be the same. Griffin seems to be a better dude overall than Young...who was just another in a long line of dumb jigs who hit the genetic lottery.

and when i told you Kelvin Benjamin will be inconsistent as a rookie, you were saying "NFL talent evaluators thought he's a first rounder, so you're wrong." i guess RG3 was a good lesson that these guys sometimes miss the obvious

It's actually peculiar that you bump this thread. As RG3 has been separated from his wife for quite some time. Met an Estonian woman, and tattooed her name on his arm. Obviously he's getting a divorce. As far as this year is concerned, he is certainly a sleeper at the QB position in fantasy. In my two QB league I took him as a QB4 late in the draft. With Gordon returning, his ability to actually take a slide on the run (as evidenced in preseason), and the emergence of Pryor as a viable receiver target (and of course the explosive rookie Coleman), he may be in for a good year. They don't exactly have a bell-cow running back, Crowell sucks. But, Duke Johnson will likely have some nice PPR stats. The schedule isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. So who knows, I think by mid-season there is a possibility he may emerge as my QB2, mainly if he's accumulating rushing stats on a consistent basis. Gordon returns in week 5 against N.E.

Yep. Was thinking the same thing. Not in as much detail but he's certainly on the radar.
