Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was injured in a car wreck in Charlotte, North Carolina.

There is an overturned car at the crash scene. Unclear if the car belongs to Cam.

Cam was seen on his back on the side of the bridge where the accident took place ... grimacing in pain. Several people were seen tending to the 25 year old QB.

Emergency vehicles are at the scene treating Newton.
