Don't get the logic of resting Duncan for this game now that Leonard is out. He had a great game last night. And given the fact the Knicks are trotting out a broken down Amare at center and a 6'7" Quincy Acy (who is luckily not a stretch 4) at power forward, it would seem like a no brainer to play Duncan and try to ensure a win, which, you know, are kind of crucial to get. It's not like he'll be in a dog fight in the paint against those two. But I guess "rest" is more important because of looking ahead and all that. Never mind the fact that one win could be the difference between a top 4 seed or a bottom 4 seed in this tightly packed Western Conference.

Doesn't matter. Pop blindly sticks to his operating procedure regardless of context. I'd understand if we were playing a contender, then playing Duncan in that instance is a Fool's Errand. But since the Knicks are soft inside, with a depleted roster themselves, playing Duncan to maximize chances of winning what would be an almost sure thing win otherwise, would be a wise move. We need to take advantage of these "easy games" and horde as many wins as possible before the schedule gets ridiculously tough.
