Curry, but niqqa gets exposed versus solid team defense (i.e. Spurs)

Early votes have to favor Harden but Curry, Gasol and Blake are worthy ...

If the Pelicans make the playoffs (unlikely), then it's Anthony Davis. Right now, the media's choice is Curry, especially if they are the #1 or #2 seed at the end of the year.

Davis playing the best and most consistently MVP level ball ...
But making the playoffs wont be enough.
The MVP almost always come from a team with 1st or 2nd seed in the conference and usually a player on a team with atop 3 overall record in the league.
He is worthy but he won't win ... one of you stat guys what is the lowest Seed/worst record to win a MVP since 1980?

I think it's moses malone on the rockets, they were the 6th seed, which was equal to the 8th at that time

Is Harden a decent defender now? I've seen that defensive win shares stat thrown around but haven't watched the Rockets to know if it's legit or not.

He has played better on D, yes. Still remains to be see if it can be maintained. Doubt it.

He just has to be average to be a top 5ish player in the league, so ya, he's been at least that IMO..

Anthony Davis. It will help if his team makes the playoffs, but either way he should get it.

Curry will win it if the warriors keep up their good form, but yes, it's just regular season MVP.
