The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bulls have offered free agent big man Tyson Chandler a guaranteed contract worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $64 million, but that no deal is imminent. General manager John Paxson continues to characterize the negotiation as productive rather than discouraging.
Views
According to the report, Chandler got a similar offer to the one received by 76ers center Samuel Dalembert; the two young big men share several statistical similarities. It doesn't appear that there is much interest elsewhere, so this may just be a matter of time until the right language and compromise have been established.
