The Charlotte Hornets are targeting the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets as destinations to unload guard Lance Stephenson, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Stephenson becomes eligible to be traded on Monday, and Charlotte has rapidly lost hope that its brief partnership with Stephenson can stand the test of time.

Indiana hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing back Stephenson, but appears unwilling to seriously engage the Hornets without the inclusion of a first-round pick in a potential deal, sources told Yahoo Sports.

So far, Charlotte has shown no inclination to package a future draft pick to move Stephenson, league executives told Yahoo Sports.

I fucking hate Lance Stephenson, but I'd trade Crawford and Barnes for him at this point. He's a good defender who can play at the 3, and unlike Charlotte, we wouldn't delusionally expect him to be the alpha on offense. This soft-ass team also could use someone with an edge to them.

Nets are the logical choice...bad contracts for bad contracts.

A city kid providing a spark to the most boring team in the league to watch? Yes please. The problem is I don't think Charlotte would touch JJ or Deron.

Signing him in the first place was a horrible move. MJ, for all his greatness as a player, has been an abysmal GM.

After years of being the laughing stock of the league as the Bobcats, he finally waits til there's actually going to be *potential franchise talent at the top of the upcoming draft (last year) to sign Al Jefferson to a horribly inflated contract to ensure that they'll be just good enough to miss out on a top 5 pick :lol
