The worst season in NFL history was 1928. That year the Frankford Yellow Jackets went 11-3-2 . But the league champs were the 8-1-2 Providence Steam Rollers. Of the 10 teams in the NFL in 1928, 5 of them had losing records.

Chicago not only had the Bears, they also had the Cardinals. Which would become the St. Louis Cardinals, then the Arizona Cardinals. New York not only had the Giants they also had the Yankees.....ha!

Weird how some teams played 7 games, some 6, some 12, one 16..etc etc.

I will say this, football was far better before instant replay and all this concern over injury.

Sadly, Drew Magary's tired old "e-yelling and dick jokes" schtick is actually an upgrade over the usual libtard spew that gets posted on Deadspin these days, tbh. That site has fallen off severely in the past few years.

The worst season in NFL History is still 1000000000x better than the best soccer season in Poverty History

Two of the league’s most exciting young passers (Kaep and RGIII) had their careers implode and may never recover.

So what have we've learned from history?

Don't put too much into "a" loss or "a" win.

Realize all these "pro" teams try to do is win their division, this isn't the NCAA, a loss isn't totally devastating. So we do see ebb and flo. Yes they pay attention to the standings.

Without a great coach/QB duo.....good luck.

The NFC South sucks.

The Steelers are weird.

The Redskins need a QB.

You do not have to be a great athlete to be a great QB.

Bad year for QBs who rely on physical talent (big arm, running ability) over brains.

See Manziel, Locker, Cutler and Stafford.
