Damn. Is Kawhi more injury-proned than Manu?

When your hands are that big, there's a lot more to injure. I don't think he's more injury prone than anyone else - the eye thing could have happened to anyone.

Hopefully we can survive without MVP Leonard, I hope things aren't too serious.

Damn, torn ligament in his right hand..

One of Kawhi's biggest fans here, but he's becoming really injury prone, tbh..

Damn, we could use a guy like Corey Brewer right now. Fucking Rockets.

The Spurs wanted to get more time in on Leonard before diving into a huge contract. He has missed a decent amount of time in the 3+ years he has been here (jumpers knee in year one - broken hand in year three - eye and hand stuff this year). I would still want to sign him long term because he is a unique talent. He might get a very large or even max contract, but I don't think he is truly a max player yet. The Spurs can't afford to let this guy walk, he will likely get a big deal this summer and stay IMO.

Sign up Francisco Garcia.

Wouldn't be the worst idea at this point. Anything is better than that scrub Daye or letting Belinelli replace Kawhi.

I'm beginning to wonder if our roster is going to get right anytime soon. SA may have to scramble at the end of the season if things so south for a little while in December and January.....not good.

Any guesses how long Leonard will be out?

They don't even know the extent of the damage yet; hand is too swollen. Sean said it'd be a couple days until they can figure it out.

Sounds like he'll be out quite a while...

Even tho surgery not needed, that will cause him pain for better part of a year.

Is it his shooting hand

Hasn't played more than 66 games in any season. He's 23. Just give him the max already.

Torn ligament in the hand sounds bad to me....

I guess its one of those unimportant ligaments if there is such a thing.

Geez......

Tony and Kawhi will be welcome additions next week....

This has not been a terrific stretch health wise.

I like Brewer. I'm not sure he ever liked SA, for some reason. I have a feeling the Spurs will not add a player will all the guaranteed contracts on the books right now. Maybe they can bottom feed on contract termination later in the year like they did with Diaw back a few years ago. That was a godsend.

It sounds bad but must not be too serious if Pop says he's day to day.

I don't think Leonard is injury prone but Pop being extra cautious as usual.

None of his injuries this year are worrisome..Pink Eye, hand injury that's labeled as day to day..

Nothing too serious.

Played when it mattered...

And he will be getting the max, unless you want him to walk away..

So wrap him in bubble wrap during the season, unwrap him for the postseason and give him the max? That's a thought too.

I just read through this thread and when I first saw torn tendon I nearly punched a midget, glad I read the rest and saw that it isn't serious before I took out a random imaginary person.

KL is one of the harder people in the league to get a compass on. On one hand he's a tireless worker and improves in leaps and bounds. On the other he's quiet and could harbor feelings against others without saying as much. His game could suddenly go either way, on a dime.

And we don't have a true back up SF. smh.

The front office was definitely right when they decided not to use the MLE this summer. I mean, who needs a backup SF? Or a backup point guard? Or a backup big man? Ayres and Daye is more than enough to fill the gaps in our rotation. We won't have to worry about injuries in 2014-2015. Everybody will surely be healthy, right?

I've been on the spurs FO for not getting one. When Kawhi isn't playing, we lose more often not because kawhi is a beast but because we can't even remedy the position without playing undersized.
