Ya and the fact that we are miss Parker, KL and Mills has nothing to do with that. Issue with Manu is he tries to carry too much when it comes to times like this. Gives it his all and nothing but blood for the organization. But hey he has never done anything for them right?

How about we look back in time when DRob was almost traded for Weber as he was nearing the end. Shit that turned out better in the end

Easy solution.

Limit him to 2 games a week.

We all appreciate him but dam the negative impact is gotta be affecting the other players psyche.

It's like dude is turnover prone with baffling shot selection.

Guys must be thinking how is he getting away with it while if it was them, Pop wouldn't hesitate to sit them.

Man just rest for a minute. Get your mind right. Spurs can survive w/o dude until the postseason.

Well blame it on Pop for continuing to play him when we have Green, Cojo, and now Mills who can replace him. I do think we should stop counting on him to be a major piece anymore and should only use him sparingly (10-15 minutes).

I think last couple of games Pop did take more ballhandling responsibility to Cojo and Benchinelli. (not that its a great idea but it's probably better than riding Evita to a wheelchair)

still seems now that Evita lost his role and is now patrolling the perimeter like a zombie from Walking Dead imo. He also looks completely gassed. Hopefully a better schedule and the comeback of our MVP guard will help soon.

Otherwise a trade might be in the works to help this aging team.

Yep Ginobili is fine and so is Duncan, donīt let posters that just want to make trouble here to blur your thinking. A 37 year old player is carrying a back court without their starting PG. Still he has a positive impact overall for the season +19. Not many Spurs players can say that.
Clearly the problem no one really sees here is that Ginobili is being asked to A) Play five more minutes per game than last year. B) Play the point which takes more of him physically. C) Guard better opposing players because our only perimeter defenders available are him, Green and Joseph.

Good observations, tbh. I think it is mostly the last two. He could probably handle five more minutes at his normal role, but too much responsibility for the pg (last season Patty would at least bring the ball up and start the set) and defense. That's where it looks like it is really wearing him down.

Our entire second team was whole tonight for only the second time this season. Makes a huge difference to have everybody playing their 'normal' positions for 'normal' minutes doesn't it? I was watching Manu's minutes and he was on pace for 25 minutes - until the overtime. But he looked spry in the overtime and now has a couple of days of rest!!
