View Full Version : Should we try Danny at the 3 while KL is out?

I know he's our best PG defender, but we desperately need an above average defender for the wing and on posts. While KL is out, our starting line-up could look like this.

Splitter
Duncan
Green
Belinelli
Parker

or even put Manu in at SG to start. We need the spark and so does Manu so it wouldn't be that bad of an idea. We could have Boris 1.0 be the 6th man (since he forgot how to shoot) Thoughts?

kawhi will return before parker, the thought of belinelli starting makes me puke, we have anderson and daye for the backup 3 both better defenders than belinelli is at the 2.

Perfect. I didn't know how to word it without using profane language.

I'd rather the Spurs sign someone else and start them instead of Belinelli. Is James Anderson available? ;).

Actually OP has a point. We did that last year when KL got hurt. I thought Danny Green did a decent job last year holding his ground as a temp SF and that's also when Belli was shooting the lights out before the all star game I think..

Should probably sell high while we can. Maybe throw in Tiago and CoJo for Shump and some catnip tbh.

Danny does play the 3 sometimes. Offensively for the Spurs, the 2 and 3 are fairly interchangeable and are both considered wing positions.

Green has spent 41% of his minutes at SF this season, tbh..

Green is a great SF statistically. He can definitely play there.

Right now, no. Because we'll only have Marco, Manu, CoJo at guard. When TP and Patty comes back, he'll have spot minutes at the three, he always had.
