Like I've been saying, not since Kareem have seen this kind of production this late into a big man's career.

Not to mention, Kareem was only impacting one side of the floor. Dude was a below average defender and a weak rebounder late in his career. Great scorer though.

Been great watching him the last 10 games though.

As I was saying about Lillard the other night, Tim Duncan is absurd. Just a ridiculous player. You just roll your eyes at what he's able to do sometimes, even when he's on your squad lol.

It's amazing to watch. I remember when Hakeem dropped off suddenly after age 36, and was no longer a top tier player. The fact that Timmy's still a legit All-Star candidate at 38 is impressive.

Yes, because horrible post up players can go toe to toe with Marc Gasol and Deandre Jordan...idiot.

Timmy's post game has actually improved in terms of moves/footwork from the last 2 seasons. It was only a matter of time before the shots started falling.

Not saying that 4 down should be a go-to play, but Timmy post ups are a legit option and he's still effective down there.

Not to mention his big stretch in the 2nd quarter of game 5 of the Finals against Haslem (Kawhi was huge in that quarter too, so no I didn't forget that).

It's okay, this guy just has a Kawhi obsession and feels the need to bring down other players on the team to prove a point.

That doesn't change the fact that he is inefficient.

Not sure Posters would rather play 4 down, than run motion, kawhi post ups, Tony PnR, and Manu PnR..

Ultimately these options are better statwise and raw numbers wise..

not sure why posters are resorting to personal insults and getting pissed. tbh.

Oh, it's a "fight" now? It's not me calling you out for trolling and being a general moron?

News to me. I always thought passively aggressively avoiding a point because you're dead wrong was pretty girly myself.

He's having an amazing season so far.

Since Kawhi has been injured, Duncan has been the best Spur to date.

Such a pleasure watching him play.

I think he has a really good shot at DPOY this year. He's got better raw defensive stats than Gasol and Bogut do, ESPN's RPM metic rates him as the most impactful defender in the league, and the Spurs are a great defensive team.

Yeah, unfortunately the DPOY thi year is going to Davis. He might get MVP too. Dude is just a fucking monster and averaging over 3 blocks per.

The Pelicans are the 26th ranked defense in the NBA, there's absolutely no way that the anchor of a bottom-tier defense should even receive consideration for DPOY:lol..

The DPOY is a battle that should be fought between Timmy, Bogut, Draymond Green & Kawhi, tbh. Won't happen though.

It's amazing to watch. I remember when Hakeem dropped off suddenly after age 36, and was no longer a top tier player. The fact that Timmy's still a legit All-Star candidate at 38 is impressive.

It was startling how fast Hakeem went down hill. He went from still being a top 3 center to a liability in about 2 seasons..

Bron has a long way to go in his career. He's not even 30 yet. I would put LeBron somewhere in the 5-7 range right now, but gaining pretty rapidly.

Duncan is, for me, at least in the Top 5. If he plays as well the rest of this season, I could see him potentially moving up to #3 all-time, especially if he gets #6. Behind only Kareem and MJ.

No one has been this kind of impact defender in the NBA for this long except for Russell, and we all know how stacked those Celtic teams were.

With how TDs doing and his 2-1* finals record against Bron I couldnt put Bron above him in GOAT lists unless he does some magical runs

Yeah, he's got a way to go, but not many players are in the top 10 all-time before they turn 30.

Tim Duncan is a once in a lifetime player. People still underestimate what he means to the Spurs. I think once he retires, we will really see his value. I am dreading the day when I turn on the TV to see the Silver and Black with out number 21 in the lineup.

1.) LeBron turns 30 next Tuesday.

2.) Bill Russell played 13 years (1956-1969), and this is Tim Duncan's 18th year. So you were right the first time.......Nobody has ever been this kind of impact defender for this long. No player in NBA history age 38 or older has ever averaged at least 10 rebounds or 2 blocks per game. TD is doing both so far this year with 11 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
