what we have seen too many times in the last few years is that SA lacks the killer instinct. Hopefully NVE and Fin can help change that.

Could this work against us? Having to many players? Timvp, you even said the Heat won't be that good because they will have problems sharing the ball. DO you think its the same with the Spurs?

as long as everyone tries to help Tim and Manu everything should workout. Everyone else is supporting cast except maybe Tony.

The Spurs will be fine. Finley and Van Exel sometimes take bad shots but they aren't ballhogs like Antoine Walker.

The Spurs are freakin' loaded.

In fact, it's going to be so boring during the regular season that I don't even have to watch.

They should go 69-13 this year.

The Heat dont have Pop as coach though. Pop will coach all of these like the 12th man. They will share. Otherwise, they would be going somewhere else.

Oh I trust Pop made that VERY clear in Chicago.

He tells players exactly what they can expect out of the Spurs, and in return asks exactly what the Spurs can get out of them. Some players don't like it, others love it. Fortunately for Finley, he apparently bought into the concept. He knew the situation well before he signed that dotted line, which is why I believe he took the extra time deciding.

What's our money situation right now? I know we're over the luxury tax threshold. Do yall think Peter Holt will force Pop and Buford to make a trade to get below the threshold?

I don't see Rasho lasting past the trade deadline.

Is Rasho and Tony Parker for Steve Nash a possible trade?

The problem is finding a team that wants Rasho. As for your questions, the suns won't do that.

Nobody that signs with the Spurs has any misconceptions about how things work or who is in charge. Pop runs this team. RC makes the moves and Holt keeps his mouth shut and pays the bills. Nobody, not Finley not NVE is going to rock this boat cause they know that they're expendable!! I gotta go sign up for NBA TV!!

The Spurs give up on the notion of signing that elusive "long three"....

and sign 2 players in 2 days who can nail "long threes". :smokin

Hey Aggie, I see that you have Free throw coach in your subtitle, got to be a little happier with two former Mavs now. I think our FT% just went up with these guys. May NVE can teach us how to shoot free throws from the top of the key.:lol

Who will be placed in the IL? Will Sean Marks or Tony Massenburg be re-signed? Is Linton Johnson still contracted to the Spurs? Devin certainly will sign with the Jazz or another team.

I largely agree with your minutes breakdown timvp although I think Pop might even limit Horry's minutes more if Oberto pans out well. One of either Rasho or Nazr will be traded by the deadline methinks.

Again, the one guy I still worry about losing is Barry. I don't think he can be productive at 10min/game. I wouldn't like to lose him because he is a great facilitator. His ball movement is excellent and he really seemed to be finding his game late last season. Another year in the system and he should shine.

Hopefully he could get 15min/ game and Finley could see around 20min/game or Pop could just give more minutes to whoever seems hotter between the two during a game.

I think that Sean Marks will be back, although we're stacked at the big position. I wouldn't mind adding a fledgling PG and/or SF, if nothing more than to gain the experience from the vets.
