For that matter, what's it like to be a scrub on a team that makes the playoffs?
Some may never know.

He's got 5 championships, been to 7 NBA Finals... pretty sure he knows what it's like to be in the playoffs.

Without him up in Portland we'd be light like 3 back-to-backs, maybe even 4.

It's incredibly difficult for a shooting guard not named Michael Jordan to lead a team to the playoffs. Most shooting guards know their roles on the team, but when you have a ballhogging, volume shooting guard, it requires elite bigs to "clean up the mess" so to speak.

Bryant had a devil of a time up in Portland as the century turned, but, he got it done.
