They don't have star power, and they need to have "that guy" to take over in the playoffs. Sorry, but Teague/Korver isn't going to cut it against LeBron, or the Bulls imo.

Just because he "knows" how to beat LeBron doesn't mean he can do it :lol. I hate to break it to you guys, but LeBron could win that series by himself. The East literally has no depth or playoff experience, LeBron just has to look at the team in the playoffs for them to piss their pants. The only team that I think can take LeBron out come playoff team is Chicago. That is it. Not Toronto, not Washington, not Atlanta. Maybe Miami because they'd be so heated to play :lol

I wouldn't bet on it... You guys won by 2 points at home when the Hawks were not even playing well. I believe you guys were healthy at that time.

Not saying that we would win, but I think it would be a better series than people would think.

That said.... You guys have owned us since Duncan has been a Spurs... But the change has gotta happen sometime.

Basically everyone played but Patty Mills. Horf was far from being completely healthy also. So, I think it was close to being even.

Either way, I'd love for the series to happen... But we will see. I'm still not fully convinced of this team until I see results in the playoffs.

Although, I think the series against the Pacers last year was a pretty good sign that this team can hang with good playoff teams... And this team is playing much better than they were in the 2nd half of the season last year.

Dallas's experience will help them make a legit threat in the playoffs imho. Meanwhile, I doubt the likes of Portland and Warriors are really as good as they appear to be, just gimmick teams who'll always get exposed in the tough playoffs. Today's Warriors are just the reincarnation of the 05-08 Phoenix Suns imho, teams that will never do shit in the playoffs despite their regular season records.

They've beat basically beaten everyone in the west with the exception of SA (2 point loss) and Golden State... So, nope.

They've owned the western conference so far. 10-2 against them with one being a 2 point loss to you guys and a fluke loss against the Lakers. But they've beaten Houston, Clippers (twice), Dallas, Memphis, Portland, Denver, New Orleans and The Jazz twice. Most of those were road games also.

The problem is that Dallas has no defense outside of Chandler. They score all of these points, but will they be able to get stops? And do they have enough depth? I don't think Rondo has helped them yet... In fact, I think their scoring has been going down since they got Rondo.

Memphis (with the addition of Green) might have enough to join the Spurs and Warriors as contenders. The rest of the league is down a notch.

Warriors play defense, those suns teams didn't.

Can hardly deny it tbh, Rondo has troubles adapting to our system currently but I believe things will get better. Rondo is supposed to be an upgrade on both ends of the floor but we haven't seen much of it yet. I think we still need some time to tell if the deal was really a successful one or otherwise. Furthermore, I don't think we're playing at our full strength in the regular season. Some younger teams may look good right now but when it comes to the playoffs you'll find that the true contenders are still those experienced teams like Mavs and Spurs tbh.

A team like the cavs win two in a row and it's all over the radar. Hawks win 13 in a row, against good teams mind you, and nary a blip on the radar.

I would almost be willing to sacrifice a ring to see a Hawks/Dubs finals that resulted in the Hawks taking the Dubs apart.:lol

Would probably rival the Spurs/Pistons for the lowest rated finals in history.:lol

Hawks-Spurms NBA Finals?

Like a made to order breakfast at Waffle House, Robby.

Hell, and afterward you could erect another Wailing Wall Room like you did for the Pistonites.

At least it'd be aesthetically pleasing basketball. All Duncan/Kobe subjects aside, as a fan of basketball do you like the way the Spurs play and the way basketball is becoming more geared towards that style, or are you more of a fan of 90s/early 00s play? Never heard your opinion on it.

Makes me no difference. I just clock the end result.
