+1

Read he had appendiceal cancer after an urgent appedenctomy in 2007 (Pittsburgh). Apparently he had 3 rounds of surgery and at least 50 rounds of chemo. He tried to never let the treatments interfere with his life, stating he had chemo in the morning and then work at night.

He also never knew his staging. Didn't want to know how advanced it was.

Kind of knew it was coming but still brutal news. Rarely do people love their job as much as he did - he brought it every night and truly was an institution in the living rooms of sports fans for the past 20 years. Made us all love sports a little more.

And might have been the first guy to get Kawhi to ever smile!

Dude, it was the ESPY's, not the Oscars. Who gives a fuck? I thought Michael Sam getting any time on stage for eating a dick sandwich was a disgrace to humanity. I have nothing against gays, to each their own, but getting an award in 2014 for being gay is a joke. If it was 1994 then yeah, but 2014?! C'mon man

Perception can be deceiving. Especially with someone who has been battling cancer over 7 years. You don't really remember what they look like 7 years ago because it ages them over time and since you weren't there every day, you didn't notice the massive changes and instead just see it gradually over time.

Nah, he looked pretty horrible. Look how skinny he was presenting the trophy. He was at least 40 pounds lighter than he was 7-8 years ago when he was healthy.

This is what he looked like in the mid 2000s

Didn't really notice since I don't watch ESPN or anything related with him so I couldn't compare and contrast. Anyways, a real professional fighting cancer for 7 years and still doing the job day in day out.
