NFL was in a lose/lose position, tbh..
If they hadn't overturned it, everybody would be talking about the Cowboys' being the league's favorite team and getting every call..
If they did overturn it, everybody would be talking about the Cowboys getting screwed and the shitty officiating in the league..
Literally nothing they could have done there:lol..they just have to address the rule in the off-season for less ambiguity..

Good call.
Is there any pro sport with less consistent officiating than the NFL? It's so distracting it makes it hard to enjoy the game at times.
They're very consistent when Brady, Fivehead or Rodgers needs a crucial call or no-call, other than that it's a crapshoot :lol

Doesn't matter which arm hits first. You need complete control throughout the entire process of coming to the ground, not just initial contact

I can't believe people are even questioning that call. The rule clearly states that a wr must maintain possession of the ball even after going to the ground. The ball clearly hit the ground as Dez went to the ground. There was nothing controversial about that call in any form or fashion.

Rule possibly need to be changed, great effort by Bryant.
Cowboys can only get better if Romo can stay healthy.
Witten, as great a blocker as he is, can't outrun my mother in the open field; someone needs to step up at TE that can get open AND run.
The defense should be a priority. Just a few changes, they did a lot with a little.

Steps don't matter. 2 feet, a knee, irrelevant. If a catch is made while going to the ground, you must have and maintain complete control throughout the entire process. The ball moved after he hit the ground and they made the call.
Calvin Johnson had a similar play on a potential game winner, and less famously happened to Louis Murphy against the chargers (not sure if CN remembers)

Fox just had Peora (sp) on and yes, by extending it, Bryant changed it from needing to hit the ground with control to needing to control it all the way thru. Had he just kept the ball tucked and not tried to extend, would have been a catch. When extending "ground cannot cause a fumble, but ground shaking ball loose/out of control can cause a no catch."
I don't like the rule, but these multimillion dollar players and coaches have nothing but time on their hands to be aware of the rules.

There have been bad calls both ways, typical NFL game, but by my count, Denver has been at a disadvantage..
The home team with bigger names should be getting more calls, that's how sports works, so it's pretty stupid that the Broncos aren't getting more calls IMO..
