556 posts with nothing to add to any conversation. Nice job. I don't think most people could do that if they tried.

Overall, the Spurs are ranked #9 in total turnovers this season. It certainly needs to get better, but it's not that bad.

That said, we've been in very closely contested matches, thus the last few mins TOs gain extra relevance.

thanks mate

not particularly chocking knowing that w/o tp he is the one with the ball... now as we are both saying he is playing too many minutes, it's important everybody come back quick so that rotations can become more balanced

This is the strangest part, they were so reliable. You never really worried cause you knew they would make a run in the 4th. Every yr they start off turning it over but I can't remember it still being a problem in Jan. Either way I imagine they'll get it right.

I think the correct stat if I heard it right last game is the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

yup. Shawn of whatever that nig name is said it. We are also dead last in that stat not surprisingly. It would have been nice if he elaborated more on this thou. I am pretty sure he was also counting Overtimes and possibly not the entire season but the time TP has been out IMO

It's not just that it's how they turn it over, unforced at times and just lose the ball right into another players hands. It is like they just throw it to the other team or fumble and fall and it goes right to another player, how the hell do you routinely just turn it over like that? It's like they are paid to do it or do it on purpose but we all know thats not true and they are just turning it over unforced. I don't get it but it has to get better if they are to go anywhere.

my only guess is that the late game ballhandlers for us fall into 2 categories. 1 too tired to manage a successful ballhandling routine (Manu) or too inexperienced (Cojo and Mills)

So is it Manu's fault that Pop still relies on him way too
much and plays him too much when most 37 year olds are at the end of the bench and only play sparingly

Good find. Manu's had the ball mostly in that situation, its natural for him to turn the ball over more often. Duncan and Diaw combining for 24 T.Os in the 4th would be the bigger story. They are fantastic passers and it throws into question some of their decision making this season.

Duncan passing the ball to Mills who was in the coffin corner and moving away from the ball with a defender trailing him ,closely, wasn't a great decision.
