View Full Version : Spurs: Should They Make a Trade?

Generally we don't see the Spurs make any real moves outside trading non-rotation players for non-rotation players/projects. However, this has been a fairly significant year injury-wise for the Spurs which has kept the development of real chemistry low. While the Spurs don't have any real tradeable assets per se, they have several expiring contracts and own all their first/second round picks (plus a small TE). Based on what we've seen thus far and the fact the cohesion from last year has yet to resurface, should the Spurs consider rolling the dice? And if so, for who?

No. Last game was rock bottom, with Tony back they're going to rip off a nice streak per par and get Kawhi back in the process.

:lol No, we haven't seen rock bottom. Hopefully we won't have to for another season and a half.

We'll see. Injuries may continue to fuck the team over.

Simmons mentioned Mo Harkless as a typical Spurs move that would be a steal. We could move Ayers and a second for him. Athletic 3, 6'8 with a 7'1 wingspan. Takes away from our cap next season but it was unlikely we were going to get Gasol or Milsap anyway.
Probably wouldn't contribute much this season but would be an intriguing backup to Kawhi if he ever became a consistent shooter.
I would have liked Brenden Wright, he would have been a very good backup center in the Mills/Cojo-Ginobili-Belli-Diaw bench unit.
They need to get rid of Belli, Ayres & Daye, someone has to be stupid enough to take them. I'd say TP & Bonner but they're not going anywhere

Daye for Drew Gooden.
If it's for the minimum, why not?

:lol I'm waiting for someone to say that upstairs. There's always one little shit who says it but ever since I've spammed it, they've backed off. All bets are off during the offseason though while the team is rebuilt.

spurs want to much in return for their role players, but those guys might be useful on teams that try to replicate the spurs system, then again those former spurs staff would not touch shit
spurs should get rid of the big3 and whatever turds on the team and rebuild...
look at ainge, fkn clown stockpiled 11 first round draft picks next 2 years...
