Did the Spurs pull a machiavellic stunt in front of the whole NBA? Was it all a plan from the beginning which might have started with Pop and Finley talking in private and working out a deal weeks ago? but Finley's job was to hold out for a while in order to distract the whole NBA, especially the Heat and Suns? While the Spurs quietly grab Van Exel(possibly the second best available FA), who was forgotten by all at that point???

Thruth is with this stunt, Spurs made clowns out of the Heat, Suns management and the media, and used that idiot Cuban as a puppet in their plan :)

The Heat are so shocked and confused that now are seriously considering signing Sprewell :smokin

A few wks ago I suggested Finley might have told the Spurs that if they can get NVE he'd reconsider going to the Heat.
