View Full Version : Great quote from Kyle Korver
Mr Bones

"I love it when the best team beats the best players. That was the Final last year to me."
The Hawks, like the Spurs, don't expend energy arguing about "Who's the Man?" or Whose team is this?"

Wasn't there some talk about Korver coming to the spurs a few years ago, but it was derailed by his wife? Like she wasn't interested in San Antonio or something, but Kyle himself was open to it.
Imagine Korver in belinelli's spot tbh...

Spurs could very well be meeting this team in the Finals, I think the spurs still have a bit more firepower but god that team looks mighty good.
NBA will have a hernia if that match up happened though. lol

Yes, Korver was first choice.
Spurs had to settle with Belinelli and Ayres. :-(

Incredibly, this isn't even an abnormal season for Korver. Hit 53% from 3 in 2010 too.

Sure would have been nice to have Korver instead of Cancerneli. Wish he chose to sign here.

The fan base does, tbh.

All of you calling Bellineli Cancerneli and other niceties would be calling Korver Korncer in no time once he starts playing for the Spurs...

If that happens, that would be awesome. Pop vs. Bud
Korver on this iteration of the Spurs would be amazing. He isn't to bad defensively either.

Nah, Korver is underrated as a defender because he's white and shoots threes. I'm not saying he's some kind of defensive stopper but he isn't a liability either.

It's a quote about team play, and not emphasizing which single player on a winning team is "The Man."
It's grown up basketball talk. You wouldn't understand.

Didn't take much notice of what happened around the league this offseason. What happened with the Hawks? Last year they went 38-44 .463 This year they are 34-8 .810 Why are they so much better this year than last?

Al Horford is healthy. They were pretty good when he was healthy last year.

GOOD LORD we struck out bigtime that Free Agency man, thank GOD we won the title and did not have to rely on either of those guys. I still remember that summer hyped because they had some money, then they end up with those two guys.

Kyle Korver wanted to come here. Joumana Korver? Not so much, so he signed with ATL.

Korver is actually a GOOD player. One of the best role players in the NBA actually - very high impact. Marco's a low IQ scrub that chokes in the playoffs and is a bottom ten defender in the entire league. He's fucking garbage. Rather have '04 Hedo over him.

Oh, sorry! I thought I was posting in SpursTalk, you know that forum where players like Parker and Ginobili get berated frequently as if they were the worst players in the amateur basketball association, my bad, I should pay more attention.

Aw, it's cute how often you use emoticons! They're so much more expressive and complex than silly words. Good job on that!
