Ah, this year's thigh bruise acted retroactively and that was what stopped Shaq from winning in 2003 and 2004 as well as 2005. Interesting theory. However, I think we see a problem in your theory (see above). BTW, Duncan's two bad, sprained ankles didn't stop us from beating the Pistons.
Da nile ain't just a river in Egypt.
Shaq is too old to really put up a monster game, the type needed for the Heat to win it all. Bowen, Manu and Finley can guard Wade. Oh, wait, Antoine Walker is open from half court with only 23 seconds left on the clock. Walker is a black hole. The ball will go in to him and never come back out. He'll jack that ball up from anywhere regardless of the shot clock or the situation in the game.
Shaq can't play or won't play the pick and role. We love to run the pick n roll up top with Manu and Timmy. They have no answer to that. Certainly, Shaq can't guard Timmy. Neither can anyone else on their team.

and why did the Heat with Shaq lose to the Pistons?
Who won the championship the last three years? All great defensive teams that were united.
BTW, defense alone won't do it. However, Ginobili's game improved exponentially. In 2003, we had great defense and two great players in Duncan and Robinson. In 2004, we had just lost David. Hence, it was Timmy alone plus our defense. In 2005, Ginobili became part of a great duo. So, our defense which was one of the two best in the league, plus Timmy and Ginobili as tremendous offensive threats.
We won championships two of the last three years. The Heat haven't won any. Are you just making this stuff up as you go along?

Actually no one can stop Shaq--as long as the refs allow him to bulldoze over defensive players or put his left hand on them to hold them in place when he goes up.
I've never seen a player get such blatant favoritism from the refs on obvious fouls. Must be a league policy to keep the superstar shining.
Most superstars over the years haven't needed the refs to help them shine or keep them in the game.

Heatchamp we get that you are a Shaq fan but if you do not have great respect for Duncan and what he has done, then there is something wrong with you. Not many people in here like Shaq but we do respect him.

Everyone knows it was Shaq's thigh bruise that prevented Miami from winning a championship. Shaq healthy equals pistons loss. Next come the spurs and Mohammad would get embarrased by Shaq. They will have to put in Nesterovic to avoid the humiliation.
If ShaqFu is so unstoppable, and likely to win the championship singlehandedly ever year, then why did he have such a FUped recruiting record this summer? Lets see Horry, NVE, Finely ....
Seems like the smart money is on Duncan.
What say you fool?

I used to hate Stephen A., but since I've learned to accept where he stands on issues (even though I tend to disagree with most of his views), I find him amusing.
First off, he patronizes Shaq to the level of Ahmad riding Jordan's coattails.
Second, he panders to the black superstar on his show, "Quite Frankly" to the degree not seen since "The Arsenio Hall Show."
Take SAS for what he's worth and you'll find him less irritating.
