I'm thinking of getting an Ultrabook and the kimchisung ativ book 9 15.6'' caught my attention. Looks sleek as hell but expensive ($1300 - $1500).

Amazon is currently selling it new for $1099:

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-NP940X3G-K06US-13-3-Inch-Laptop-Mineral/dp/B00HB1GLJU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1422120815&sr=1-1

Here's a couple of refurb for around $840:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00HB1GLJU/ref=dp_olp_refurbished?ie=UTF8&condition=refurbished

And Amazon Warehouse has a few used ones with apparently a very minor packaging/cosmetic issue for $782:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00HB1GLJU/ref=olp_tab_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

The good thing with the Warehouse deals is that you can likely return it within 30 days if you don't like whatever issue it has.

^ I'm looking for the 15.6'' version though. Newegg had this for like $1250 a little while back.

Unfortunately, it's fairly new, so unless you get some kind of discount, it's going to be difficult...

That's a seriously hot laptop. Windows PCs finally catching up to Apple in quality. :tu

Insanely fast too. Boots up Win 8.1 in like 6-8 seconds.

Bought the Ativ Book 9 Plus for $799 last night. Hope it's as reliable as my previous purchases (Thinkpad T42 & Mackbook).

I'm on my Samsung Series 7 Chronos, it's been reliable for me. Everything still functioning the same as when I bought it 2 years ago.

That's a nice laptop though. Back then Samsung was committed to laptops, but now they've gone away from them and are only making ATIV Books. They just released the new 12.2'' ATIV Book with a Broadwell chip.

Been using the ultrabook for some time now. It's wickedly fast compared to my macbook. Win 8 boots up in like 4 seconds. The inbuilt speakers are the best ones i've seen till date on any laptop/ultrabook.
