Last decade entirely dominated by Rock. 90's we see the emergence of EDM and Rap.

The difference between the 50's and 60's the most dramatic ever. The music went fom Elvis to Hendrix, blacks finally getting the respect they deserved. Drugs! Anti-establishment! Hippies! Jack Kerovac, Lenny Bruce, Andy Warhohl, Dr. Timothy Leary, Janis Joplin, The Dallas Cowboys, The AFL, Cassius Clay. We'd never seen such a dramatic change in things as we saw in the 60's, hell....The Beatles!

The roots of edm and rap happened in the late seventies and 80's. I hear a lot of 80's sounds in the music these days. The problem is, that's as far back as they go, so there's no depth. Bands in the 80's had deeper influences. They also were good musicians. Bands these days are mostly knob tweakers.
