:cry Those feels bro...lots of feels towards the end. He tries to sell his product as cheap as possible to help fellow man during this ridiculous water shortage in the US. :cry

Of course Mr. Wonderful starts talking profits, bla bla fuck over the little man and the country. The guy responds by saying he wants to 'do right' and sell his product as cheap as possible. Supposedly its selling a lot now.

The explanation for why that rich guy didn't want to back the product was perfectly reasonable. Behind all the self-righteousness and love for one's work that somebody might have, they want to get paid for their work. That's the way it is.

It's cool, but I would never buy one for anywhere near it's price.

Jesus, this clip just reconfirms why I fucking hate reality TV.

It's a perfectly interesting business conversation, but that's not enough for the producers, who feel obligated to barf all sorts of tense musical cues and other dramatic effects where they don't belong...

For example...

"Have any distributors reached out"

"No they haven't."

"Have you reached out to any distributors?"

"No sir, I have not."

Musical cue: *Dun DUNNN*
(Quick shots of horrified hosts, cut back to uncomfortable inventor.)

They're trying to squeeze drama out of an exchange that was completely benign and ordinary. The 8 minutes of dialogue alone had enough to hold interest without a rollercoaster of happy/sad/happy/sad music and fake tension.

Anyway congrats to the guy.
