Zero excuses to lose this game. They're missing bothKemba and Biyombo, both of whom were the primary reason the Spurs had to fight to win the first game. If they don't win by 15+ I'll be disappoint.

Is Chucky McChucker going to play this time?

Only found this:

http://www.nba.com/hornets/keys-beat-spurs-01/27/15

"Bismack Biyombo (knee), Marvin Williams (concussion), Kemba Walker (knee) and Jannero Pargo (back) are all not expected to play against San Antonio on Jan. 28."

Also:

"Key Matchup vs. Spurs: Brian Roberts vs. Tony Parker" :lol

That means the green light for Chucky if he plays. He may break the record for most shot attempts in regulation.

With a win here and a Dallas loss @Houston, we'll be tied for the 6th seed.

As others have said, there's no excuse to lose here. At home, well-rested, and Charlotte is missing a couple of key players. I'll be a bit disappointed if it's even close tbh.

Still will be tough to catch MEM (GS ship has probably sailed though 10 back of them after last night). Best case is still gunning for the 2/3 and hoping that OKC doesn't pass DAL for 7th. Will be a bloodbath no matter what.

Some folks on here are suggesting that they will be 'disappointed' in our win isn't by xx point total. I think that is a real set-up for the team, and a promise that, if xx is not the point total, SOMEONE on the team will have played 'like a scrub' or should be traded or whatever.

I don't care what the point spread is. If we look like the game is in hand and our starters don't need to play long minutes, I'll be fine as long as we are one ahead when the final whistle blows.

The Hornets have key injuries, but they still have some good players and those players are going to try their hardest to beat the crap out of us. They have pride and we are the Champs. We recently won over them, so even without Walker, they may have folks one their team who say "this is my time to take off and show the league what I can do and who better to do it against that the reigning champs". We will still have to be focused and work hard.

If the game gets lopsided in our favor, I expect Pop to either sit people for rest or experiment with some play calling or rotations that look goofy. If it happens, that is the sort of thing that gets folks around here in melt-down mode and screaming for this player or that coach to be replaced immediately. Hope springs eternal for mature reactions, but experience suggests otherwise.

I just hope we win.

Yep. I'd rather a 5 point win with our starters only logging 28 minutes than a 25 point blowout because our guys finally got their act together in the 2nd half.

In the first half, the only real scorers that the Hornets have left are Al Jefferson and Kidd-Gilchrist. They are responsible for the bulk of Hornet's points, and they are shooting well over 50% each. Their game minutes coincide with the minutes played by our starters.

Henderson was 4 of 10 in the first half. Nine points but took ten shots to get them.

Does anyone know how the shooting of the opposition factors into the plus/minus numbers for players during the game? I mean, does that possibly mean that our starters MIGHT not have as gaudy plus/minus numbers as others because when they are playing the other teams' best scorers are on the court, and when they aren't on the court, the other team doesn't score so well?

I mean, is that even possible?
