Spurs are only 3 games in the loss column from the 3rd seed. They still aren't right yet but at least they are getting the W's now. I expect all to be right by the time the playoffs start. 6 is coming.

If it weren't for the 3OT chokejob games, fluke losses to the Lakers and Pistons, and early losses to the Pelicans and Kings which we should have won, we could be 36-11 with a realistic shot at #1 seed. That's just amazing with all the injuries and uneven play considered yet we're still there with a shot at the #2 seed.

OKC fans are on suicide watch now...

Was at the Knicks game tonight. OKC has no semblance of an offense and Westbrook gets so much crap from fans - I think it fuels his crazy that makes him the most dangerous guy in the league (either for or against his team). Brooks also failed to make any in game adjustments on defense - Melo post ups and Lance Thomas midrange game.

Scary when Durant is around too, so praying for too little too late when they're fully healthy.

Yes, when healthy they are scary but fuck it, they should fear the Spurs, too. If they make the playoffs, bring it.

All good results today except that Dallas won, which pushed the spurs back to 7th for now. Need to win tomorrow against the clips.

Was really hoping MIA would hold that 10 point lead on DAL but the Mavs surged. Nice that GS caught a L, but it's not going to help the Spurs, they are to far ahead.

The pressure is gonna start building. If they don't come of the gates running after the all star break, there's a real chance they'll miss the playoffs.

three more losses before allstar break and spurs are within 5 if spurs win out
gs could easily lose three more before allstar

I'd be thrilled if they just reached the 3 seed, but anything is possible with just under half a season left. Here's hoping for health and a W streak or at least a solid surge!:bobo

Keep it up PHX and keep losing OKC. GSW will be happy as well but that is not what I am worried about, OKC out of the playoffs is a blessing on any end of things.

Yep...he knows.

He'll be the next Spurs scapegoat, after a 24-points performance, he won't touch the ball in all game against Orlando. Only-20-minutes-a-game is coming...

Exactly. The Spurs need to WIN games when other teams lose if we want to move up in standings. Continuing to lose must-win games while these other teams lose, too, doesn't mean jackfuckingshit... Common sense. :bang

New Orleans should go at least 4-1 in their next five games with the only tough one is a home game against the Bulls.

Spurs fans problems.

barely in the playoffs bracket... biggest concern is a team 2 places below the bracket.

We're now 1.5 games back from the 4th seed...can't complain given all the shit we've been through. Just gotta take care of business from here on out. I think our goal should be the 3rd seed.

Kind of. Portland's guaranteed at least the 4 seed unless OKC passes them, though if the 5 has a better record then no home court for the Blazers.

SpursFan86
02-07-2015, 11:32 PM
True. Like you said, the better record will get HCA, so it doesn't matter much.

Anyways, Here are the 3rd-6th seed teams' upcoming games before the break:

Rockets play: Blazers, @ Suns, @Clippers (b2b)

Mavs play: Clippers, Jazz

Blazers play: @ Rockets (b2b), Lakers

Clippers play: @Thunder, @Mavs, Rockets

If (extra emphasis on this) we take care of business and win these last 3 games before the break, we should be in great position going into the break. As you can see, a lot of the teams ahead of us will be playing each other, so we have to pick up ground somewhere.

Fuck I hope we come out strong tomorrow and beat Toronto. There's still plenty of season left, but getting these 3 wins before the break could be huge. Especially with a tough stretch coming up after the break.

If this is the case, which it should be, I think the spurs should try and get the "5" seed and take homecourt vs the Blazers and take down golden state (who we own head to head) and wait for the Dallas, Houston, LA Clippers, Memphis bloodbath to take place and get whoever comes out of that. That would be a great scenario for us. We have to beat Golden State at some point so we should take them out earlier when it will be a bit easier.
