Lakers got a nice upgrade at the starting SG spot with this guy. 17ppg on 52% over his last 5 games.
Could hurt their tanking efforts.

Never thought that was possible but Swaggy's assist to shot ratio is about to hit historic records.

Phaggy "shoe house" P is a horrible basketball player, but he's been a net-positive on the court while Kirby has been a massive net-negative.

Those numbers aren't adjusted for teammates..
Kobe's RAPM is much better than Swaggy C's this season..

Sample size is PLENTY big enough to compensate for lineups.
It would be one thing if they were within an acceptable margin of error, like +/- 5 pts. But Phaggy is beasting him on a 17pt differential, you can't ignore that.

That's irrelevant, those are unadjusted numbers, which are heavily flawed..it doesn't compensate for lineups:lol..

Is ESPN's RPM essentially the equivalent to RaPM?
It has Swaggy at -1.13 and Kobe at -2.31.

I believe it is:
RPM stats are provided by Jeremias Engelmann in consultation with Steve Ilardi. RPM is based on Engelmann's xRAPM (Regularized Adjusted Plus-Minus). Play-by-play data provided by Basketball-Reference.com.

Kirby played with the same teammates against the same opponents as Phaggy
If you look at their on/off metrics, Phaggy is a minor positive and Kobe is a major negative
But Harlem has to reach to backup his "Kobe is top 10" schtick, so he plays the "RAPM" card without producing any evidence of where he is getting his numbers
His agenda is pretty clear
Until he produces the maths, he's full of shit and just on another one of his bullshit trolling schticks

You clearly need to look into the meaning of these numbers:lol..
RAPM is supposed to compare players with:
1- Similar possession numbers
2- Combined with other advanced metrics(usage rates and volume metrics), players with similar roles to each other
Kobe has played approximately 1500 possessions more than Young..makes a huge difference..

Win Shares is a weak stat, as I've been saying for years..you can throw it in as an add-on, that's fine, but like offensive/defensive rating, it should just be a throw-in, peripheral stat, not your main argument(really easy to poke holes in it)..
PER is a good box score stat to evaluate individual performance, which is the only thing both Kobe and Nick Young are aiming for..

PER is a summary of basic stats using random weights that has no true bearing of how well a player contributes to a game.
While WS has its flaws, it's a much better representation of how well a player helps his team win (which at the end is all you want) than RAPM, which is really covered in fuzzy math and unknown normalizations.
RAPM is also prone to overrating/underrating a player based on the strength of the bench. If a player is replaced by Eric Bledsoe, he is going to look a lot worse than another player replaced by Austin Rivers. Not to mention that the number of possessions argument indicates Kawhi > Lebron, and stat also says Draymond Green > Klay Thompson, not mention Amir Johnson is some superstar level player.
