Pop killed his confidence in 05-06, when for some reason he decided to give the keys to Enrique

Did the Spurs re-sign Chip, tbh?

Chip should be headed to Golden State
to "improve" the splash brothers shooting

I don't even expect Manu to make two free throws in a row tbh. The whole crowd was cringing every time he was at the lone.

My theory to why he misses more free throws these days is because of fatigue and age. I think his arm muscles get more sore easily and thus he misses the freethrows.

He used to be ice from that line, at the end of the game when he was fouled I knew he was going to step up and hit them to ice it but nowadays it's always 1-2 it seems right on que. I miss that old Manu at times :(

Manu better be practicing his free throws on the daily. The way he draws fouls, he better make them count.

He's been bad no doubt... but like I said earlier, it's amazing that at this stage we're still relying on a 37 year old to get to the line... we have many young guns, and nobody can drive to the rack and draw a foul. Pretty ridiculous, tbh...
It's weird, because he was pretty good last season.

Kawhi can tbh but the team doesn't know how to pass him the rock or atleast set a pick for him or even hit their fucking shots after he draws the double.

You are correct and we need a finisher. Someone else has to step up and do it, preferably a younger guy who can lead them in the future and draw fouls and hit his FT's late in games.

Even when he was missing them it was a least something he was getting to the line. On a bad night he was still aggressive. Tony got the crap knocked out of him and they were no-calls. One they showed the replay in the arena and Hawes has his whole hand over his face...no-call. I think he decided to stop trying to draw a foul and gradually got less effective.

1 call they did miss. Everything else was called correct.

idk what is happening to him in this area. FT shooting seems to be more mental than age or fatigue related.
He had this same disease in 2012-2013 season when he was clearlly out of shape. But now he seems well and even when he started the season shooting 80% on FT he has suddenlly started missing a lot.
Hope he uses the ASB to regain trust in his ft shooting.

It has to be mental at this point, don't know how you can go from an automatic 2-2 at the end of games as a vet of tourneys and title teams to missing them though? I figured he would have ice in his veins from all of that combined? I guess it can happen to anyone.

His style of play will lead to free throws but lets not pretend that he is James Harden, Manu is 3rd on the team in FTA. Unless he plans on solely being a spot up shooter and no longer attacking the rim then he'll need to figure out a way to make them.

Manu is missing a lot of his free throws bacause several of the Manuhaters have 2 pins on the left arm of their Manu Voodoo dolls.

he's an old man. Everytime he's sent to the line I just already give up one of the FTs. So I don't get mad anymore tbh.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but it seems big name Spurs have always missed key free throws. Going back to the Admiral. I don't know how many of those were key playoff games but it seems like him missed so many key FT's at end of games.
