View Full Version : Rest Timmy now, tbh...

Last time these two teams played Timmy outplayed Jordan and Griffin. Tonight he looked horrendous. He was slow and uncharacteristically sloppy.

The whole team looks bad right now, but Timmy in particular looks like he's wearing down. Can we afford to rest him for a week?

Can't afford to. Need to win games to stay in the playoff race. After making it to the 6th seed for a day, the spurs are now back down 7th. There's not too much wiggle room any more.

The last thing the Spurs need is giving Ayres big minutes..

If Tiago could rediscover his ballsack, then resting Timmy would be much easier. But as it stands, Tiago and Boris have been inconsistent at best, trash at worst.

Spurs have 3 days off now. If they rest him against Orlando then he would have played 2 games in 11 days. Also, All star week is coming up and that's basically another week off. (Besides the 4 minutes he'll get on the court during the game) ... Now is the perfect time to give him a rest

Vujicic will crush Tiago and the spares the Pop rolls out at them and they'll lose. Can't afford to rest him

opposing coaches plotting against the Spurs by voting Duncan into the allstar game, to prevent him from getting the obviously needed rest :lol

^^^^^ This, that rest luxury is just about gone for this season.

Tim needs rest but just not while Parker and Manu are AWOL.

They need to stop shitting their pants

I worry more about Tony and Manu getting rest. Tony just doesn't look like he is fully
recovered from his torn handstring. I tore mine playing softball and it too at least 6 months
before I would trust it. Sure he has the Spurs medical staff but you will feel a weakness for
months in that leg. As for Manu, the way he plays and all the hits his body has taken
Pop needs to save him from himself and limit his minutes till the last 5 games before the
playoffs.
