Up until then, they weren't playing that great. They won all their games in April and headed into the playoffs playing very well. They finished off the playoffs going 15-1.

You don't have to be playing lights out right now in early February to win it, you should look to be playing well and be really focused heading into the playoffs. If Pop had no qualms benching a in-his-prime Manu several years ago, why would he have reservations doing so for a 32 year old TP? Though I would have TP in the 2nd rotation with Manu, which could mean more Good Manu than Turnobili.

Don't know if the Spurs can survive with Parker coming off the bench tbh, the starting lineup covers many of his defensive flaws with Green/Leonard. Coming off the bench you'd possibly have Parker/Manu/Belli/Diaw/Mills, no defense out there at all, offensively Parker has been pretty bad as well not sure he could even get it going vs the backups. He immediately drags down any lineup with his poor defense as he's the worst defender in the NBA aside of Lavine, you have to figure out a way to hide him and find someone else to cover his flaws.
