Might be our only chance at a back-to-back, tbh.

Danny deserved an invite despite his recent slump imo.

My favorite part of last year is that all the announcers wrote off Marco and were sucking off Steph Curry and then Marco knocked him out and they didnt know what to do lol

Agree, and Danny certainly deserved an invite last year after he set an NBA record for his 3's in the finals, too.
But those guys Klay, Curry, Wes, Korver have really good three point percentage this season.

No one wants to watch that fuckwit Wes Matthews is in the competition over Danny Green.

Has Matthews ever made a 3 in the playoffs, tbh?

If Korver could have the balls passed to him instead of picking them off a rack, he would have a legit shot at a 30.

Should have given up his spot to Danny Green the greatest finals three pointer in the history of the NBA.

He's been MIA all season with his 3-pointers. I was wondering WTH happened to our 3-pt champ. Please come back, King Beli!

True.

And it'll be interesting to see how Belinelli does, but he's gonna have a hard time winning with Klay, Korver, and Steph. I mean hell JJ is a great shooter two. And who knows if someone random like Harden or Matthews or Kyrie could go off like Paul Pierce did that one year. I'll actually probably watch this at the bar.

Belly looked good in the Orlando game. His shot for threes looked good and
he ran the floor good. When he was out of the game they took no chances
and heat pad wrapped to his thigh to keep it warm. We need this guy to make
our run....

damn that's a whole lot of big names out there. most in that group could easily fit in the top 25 shooters in NBA history tbh. and all are young and hungry.

Like any of those guys would go out and embarrass themselves in front of Madison Square Garden and a national TV audience.

OK, Howard probably wouldn't give any fucks per par, but the rest would stick to their monkeyballing.

Drummand, Mason Plumlee, Howard, DeAndre Jordan and Bogut in a free throws competition would be an interesting stuff... Shaq could host the event and the winner's price: teams not allowed hack the Shaq on him untill the end of the season!!

They should make a Kobe Bryant version of this contest where you take turnaround 18-footers with two defenders in your face.

They should add a "How Many 3 PT Shot's Can You Miss" contest to All Star Weekend, and sign Bonner up. We'll bring home at least 1 trophy this ASB.

Bonner put up 20 in the Final round the last time he participated, which is nothing to shake a stick at. He probably would've won if Kyrie hadn't caught fire.

Bonner knocked down 16 threes between the 2013 ASG and end of the season, and 15 more in the first three rounds of the 2013 playoffs.

But keep trying.

Well, there really is no way to answer your arbitrary question...but we've gone to the Finals twice and won a championship with him being a standard part of the rotation, so I'd say we haven't done too bad.

Really? You would consider Bonner a standard in the rotation in last year's championship run?

Started games 5 and 6 vs OC, both wins.

He was basically the 10th man but he deserves some credit.

He (Bonner) stretched the floor against Ibaka, but we're discussing my comment about his role as a 3 point specialist that never makes threes..

Yes, those were wins, but I am not gonna sit here at credit Bonner for them any further than he forced Brooks to make a chess move over the matchup..

Bonner averaged 6 minutes and shot 33% on 4/12 behind the arc last year in the playoffs..pretty crappy for a one dimensional guy.

Danny and Marco should be there given Finals' performance + being defending 3pt champ. And maybe we can send Parker to it too to market his newfound skill (though it takes him like 3 seconds to release each shot). Don't see TP in the skills competition this year he perennially goes through the motions in.

How so? The original comment I made was clearly just talking shit about Bonner, not trying to get into a statistical debate at all.

Sigh Korver shooting 53.2% and even generated all star buzz this year on a team with a system similar to the Spurs. What could have been...

Although the Spurs did win it all last year, hard to say what would have happened if Korver was on the team? Maybe they lose, maybe they beat the Heat even more badly.

Is anyone else watching this "fashion show?" This is the dumbest All-Star weekend event I can recall.. Not only is it a terrible idea, but it's awkward as hell listening to these "judges" try to talk about these guys' wardrobes. Horrendous call by whoever made it.

Agreed. It's the dumbest shit I've seen and it's awkward as hell. It seems like they don't even want to be there. I honestly don't see the point of this. Half the time, the judges don't even judge them on their style but rather their skills as a basketball player.

It was lame. Though it was mildly fun to watch DeMarcus Cousins attempt to contain his contempt for Barkley while looking "smooth".
