View Full Version : Green's slump and why is Pop playing so much less of him?

Green was ok to start out the season. Then when kawhi and parker went down, he held down the fort, increased his outputs although his %s suffered a bit. Then Kawhi came back and he plateaued.

but in his last 8 games he's been terrible. 34% both FG and 3pt shooting.

this coincides with Pop reducing his minutes considerably from 30mpg to 24mpg.

question is did Pop create this slump for Danny or was Danny starting to struggle before the minute reduction?

Danny will be fine..

In his years in San Antonio, he's always delivered in the playoffs..

He's not someone people should be worried about..

The dude has huge balls and a big penis...no need to worry.

still doesn't answer why Pop is sitting him.

also he was having a breakthrough season. that is in danger now.

He's just trying to get Marco some minutes before he goes to the end of the bench.

Dude hasn't looked himself in a while but he plays light out when all the marbles are on the line so ehh.

he is worn down from carrying the backcourt when Kawhi and Parker were out tbh.

I read he is just waiting for the allstar break to recover.

my question is when is Pop going to rest Duncan and Evita tbh? the poor souls look like mummies out there

Rest. He played a ton of minutes (by Spurs' standards anyways) throughout December and January while Marco/Kawhi/Tony were out.

I think its really just rest and as long as Danny thinks its just rest im not worried about him 1 bit
But if in any way Danny thinks hes being punished or demoted for any other reason i would be worried like a MF
To me DG seems like a guy that might left sumn of that nature play in his head n shake his confidence

Danny might be the streakiest player in the league. You can predict his cold and hot streaks like clockwork. About two to three weeks each typically. They alternate.

In other words, he'll come out of it. This is just his way.

This. Danny needs to recover some.

Trying to get marco acclimated a bit faster after injury is all.
