Now they have gone too far.

Jeez what's next? A Ghostbuster remake?

Ghostbusters is a stupid comedy, this should be sacred (but then again so should The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the 80s The Thing). All three of those are even better than Poltergeist imo and all three have been washed, rinsed, and repeated into oblivion

Sam Rockwell is an underrated actor. Kind of bummed his career has taken this trajectory.

As for this remake, i don't think it needed one. Spielberg's original(yeah i said it) still holds up quite well.

Sam Raimi's reputation has been destroyed after Spiderman

Hopefully he can do something with this.

Yes actually. With an all female lead cast I think, seriously.

I had a yard with a lot of big trees growing up. The storms at night were never quite the same after watching it.

Spoiler alert. They only moved the gravestones, not the bodies.

Yeah...I don't have a problem with remaking this one. It looks like they are updating the original and keeping it pretty true to form. Clown is still there. Wonder about the tree limbs. But looks good.

I was about to say I hope not but forgot they are. Mad Max sucked anyway. Road Warrior was the only good one of the bunch.

I wonder if the cast members will die in real life in strange ways like many of them did in the original.

The family is still white, so not very 2015 of the filmmakers.

Yeah also The National Association for Acting Ghost Pariahs is up in arms about being misrepresented on the big screen by white ghosts.

They need a Madea's Haunted House to level the race field

Only white people are dumb and entitled enough to live in a haunted house tbh.

Poltergeist with a black family would be about a 15 min. movie, tbh. :lmao

Spurstalk - where a thread about a horror movie remake turns into a discussion about the inferiority of blacks

I don't consider a refusal to live in a haunted house an inferior quality.

no...I meant the implication that black people are lazy and don't work hard enough to be able to afford a nice house

First thing I thought of as well. There a couple of roles in that movie that I would not advise anybody to take...
