I can see this season becoming a disaster. Everytime someone says it is a lock to win it something bad happens like a Duncan injury.

The Spurs really are a disaster waiting to happen. Name one player on the team that isn't a health risk..

Tony - injured and still playing this summer
Manu - Broken neck waiting to happen
Bruce - Has maybe a season left before his old ass breaks down
Timmy - Not one...But TWO bad ankles
Nazr - His hands might break when they try to chisel the stone.

I'm talking about a serious injury. Duncan't injury was minor and he had time to heal after the Denver series.

You're making assumptions. ANYONE can get injured in the NBA. Yes, even Snaq, and yes, Garnett also. Come back when you have real points.

09-02-2005, 01:59 PM
As a Heat fan, you shouldn't talk about guys breaking down. Shaq is 34 and will probably start the season 20-30 pounds overweight. He will get another "toe injury" and sit out half the season.

td4mvp21
09-02-2005, 01:59 PM
Minor? He severely sprained his ankle against Detroit. Add that to his hip and knee and its pretty serious. Do you even watch the Spurs? And then he sprained his other ankle against Seattle. He played on two very weak ankles almost the entire playoffs and still averaged 24 points 12 rebounds. What the hell are you talking about

Funny that Shaq and TD played about the same amount of games last season.

It's true: that is funny, since Shaq reportedly was in the best shape he'd been in for years at the beginning of last season, while Tim had spent a summer playing extra basketball games. In his best shape in years, the Diesel could only manage as many games as Timmy did suffering through 3 separate ankle problems, including a severe ankle sprain.

I respect they way Bruce plays and know that he is pretty high on the NBA iron man list. He works out like a maniac, but when a person that age hits the wall, the wall doesn't give. One small injury and Bruce's entire game (his defensive intensity) is completely thrown out of whack.

that was a very minor sprain. Shaq's injury took him out most of the playoffs. With Shaq 100% and Wade 100% spells defeat for San Antonio who has no answer for a great duos that have been proven unstoppable in the past.

When has Walker been in a good situation. He had to play center for Dallas and wasn't a good fit. He helped Paul Pierce out but the team wasn't good enough and the Hawks were terrible. This is the first good situation Walker has been in to play with a real center in Shaq.
