Misleading
Not the franchise with most wins (ie winningest)
Just the franchise with the highest percentage of wins

With the way the Lakers are going that % gap should widen.

And, along with the the NBA stats, the Spurs are the 'winningest' franchise of EVERY major sport in the USA over the last decade or so.

We are some kind of spoiled fans.

Fewest lottery teams in NBA since the ABA merger with only four. That has meant generally drafting high draft picks in all these years and still winning. Of all the ABA teams merged the Spurs were the least desired because of the media markets. The little engine that could. Kudos for Drossos, McCombs and McDermott in keeping them here.

Nothing to sneeze at in itself thanks to the Iceman, the Admiral and Tim and even an honorable mention to Alvin Robertson for trying in those lean years.

Neat stat but, we're talking about so-called "meaningless" games that occur during a so-called "meaningless" regular season.
