NEW YORK – The list of accomplishments a dozen seasons into his career is longer than LeBron James’ arm — two NBA championships, five trips to The Finals, four MVP awards.
But not one time in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
“When I first came into the league, I expected that I would do it,” James said at Friday’s All-Star Weekend media day. “I did. I did for sure. But it just never happened. I don’t know why. There was times when I wanted to do it and didn’t do it and there was times when I just didn’t really care about it too much. But it definitely would have been pretty cool to do.”

So he regrets hyping up all his fans year after year only to be a no show? Good to know.

Lebron's routine "attenion on me" now that Kobes isn't here to do it.

He's the best player in the league but is also an attention whore. His attention whoring is different than Kobe's in the sense Kobe wanted to manipulate people into believing he was the best while Lebron wants to be liked so he will say stupid shit like this.

Just shut up and do it, I am sure if he wanted to they would let him participate on Saturday night. He doesn't want to do it or he would have done so already, this is all attention whore talk.

Surprised Wiggins isn't doing it this year

Probably scared after seeing what his teammate Lavine can do in practice

In other news, a man in Flint Michigan found snow on his driveway this morning.

he had nothing to gain and a shitload to lose appearing in the dunk contest. He should have ducked it and he did.

One of the Barry brothers (white dude) has a slam dunk title and LeHype don't. :lol

We should expect more from someone who calls himself "the king," tbh. And that's cause he's probably my favorite non-Spurs basketball player. Oh well.

Losing in the finals should hurt more than losing a stupid dunk contest. All about his brand I guess. Since Nike confiscated a video of him getting dunked on :lol

Looks like emo faggotry and general beta behaviour becoming the norm in todays NBA.

:lol Thinking LeBron has anything to "gain" or "lose" from a stupid All-Star Weekend event

It's sad that the haters are reduced to shit like this now that LeBron's dragged a couple lottery teams to rings by himself.

False.
Even despite their front office hitting the jackpot with Hassan Whiteside, the Heat are under .500 and barely clinging to the 8th seed without LeBron. Without GOATside, they'd be a lottery teamPERIOD. And that's not even considering how awful the Cavs were while LeBron was gone.

:cry But, but, LeBron won't do the skills competition, celebrity game, Shooting Stars, three-point contest, and dunk contest every year, so he sucks! :cry

Bosh was out a number of games so far. Even still, as of now they are not in the lottery. And no LeBron did not drag those teams to ring by himself. Not at all.

All-star weekend is about being in the basketball club. It's meaningless as fuck yes, but when we look back on eras and see these stupid things it's just a reminder and you do it for the love of the game.
