1. Duncan
2. Shaq
3. Hakeem
4. Kobe

7. KG
8. Iverson
9. Durant
10. Nash

9-Anthony Davis
10-Curry

Sorry but I can't have guys like Nash, Iverson and Kidd on this list. I would put Manu on it before them but I don't want to look like a homer so I rather put the young unproven studs.

Probably not the top 10, but his peak was short, didn't have the type of individual accolades (MVPs, scoring titles, etc ...) or team success the other guys have.

I look at it this way: If I was starting to build a team who would I pick to start a franchise, a young Anthony Davis or a young Iverson, Nash, Kidd, etc.?

Anthony Davis is a superstar prospect, but he hasn't done anything at this point to grab spots from known commodities like, Iverson, Nash and even Kidd. Kid needs to get healthy first and at least lead a team in the playoffs.

not sure the thread is about starting a team. If that was the case, then it's not a good comparison because you are including "potential" as a variable. AD could easily break his leg next game and he wouldn't even be in top 100.

I thought based on the responses given, this thread was about best players during that 30 year timeframe. keyword "during" not "potentially"

Are we talking about pretty numbers that amounted to .500 basketball?

Nash value for Phoenix> Davis for his team now. You can't argue that. Iverson pretty much carried the woeful 76ers in the Finals. I like Davis but he's pretty much overrated at this point. He hasn't even scratched the surface yet to be even considered in this list.

No, we're arguing about a player just playing basketball and being better than others. Team record depends not only on how their star player performs, tbh.

We can just agree to disagree. I still don't think Davis qualifies in this list yet IMO. His career highlights pales in comparison at this point.
