Why the hell would Garnett want to go back to Minny? And how many second-rounders will Philly get out of this deal?

:lol giving up a decent first to Young only to move him after less than a year. To think, Philly was falling all over themselves to take Bennett instead of the pick, too.

So KG's no-trade clause will pretty much go down as the most pointless one in history, since he agreed to both proposed trades. Would be hilarious to see him demand a buyout after the trade goes through.

Victory Lap. This is probably his last year.

Looks like Garnett is following in the footsteps of James. He'll be regarded as a hero returning home for his last year.

Achieving what exactly? Tanking for the 1st pick?

I think the nostalgia factor does it for me. It's cool to see KG play on a Wolves uni for the last time.

Wait, what? Maybe they told KG that they'd sign him to an extension so that he would waive his no-trade clause.

Seems like KG is trying to have a David Robinson type of role with the young talent the wolves have. He'll stick around probably for 2 more years and see where it goes.

That's all it is.. I like the trade for the same reason..hell, they should make an offer to Terrell Brandon too

He is but they will still pay him to stick around for the next few years. He's pretty much a walking corpse for the next few years ala Nash,Kobe.

They gotta pay someone, as no free agent is going there.

Well yeah they have nothing to lose by signing KG for a few years considering they are in massive rebuilding mode plus his contract won't be a dead weight for them considering he probably won't make that much.

I love KG he's my 2nd fave player behind the Kobster. I hope he declines the extension and join Westbrook and Durant in LA. ;-)

:lol That's the thing, it doesn't even matter what they achieve. He'll still be praised for returning to his first team regardless.

Yeah, and Minnesota gets to sell a few tickets and save some money. Young didnt really pan out for them so no point in keeping him around when they need minutes for their younger players

That would be filthy with Blake, though hopefully they'd fire Tom and get a real coach by then.
