I would too if I got traded away from a team run by a penny pincher like Bennett in a contract year.

Do people really not think the Kanter deal, amongst the rest of the players OKC got, makes them a legitimate contender? He's a very underrated offensive player, and sure he isn't a great defender yet, but he's young and surrounded by big men who are good defenders and don't really need the ball on offense. Whether its next to Ibaka, Collison, or if they go super big putting him next to Adams, Kanter won't have to carry a defensive load and can focus on scoring. He's got a great shot, and all of a sudden OKC really might have the most well rounded team since Durant came. Sure, they might not be as explosive as the team with Harden, but they've got a squad now.

Jackson is another overrated chucker. He runs roughshod over the Spurs because they just let him, but he's a chucker extraordinaire. Overrated piece of shit. Maybe SVG teaches that Somalian pirate how to fucking play.

If SVG can get Jennings to play under control, I don't see how he can't get Jackson to as well.

Exactly, because they are both black so they should have the same mindset.

Pretty much. :lol

Seriously though, what I meant to say was Jennings is a bigger chucker than Jackson.

Agreed! They had a squad already though and went to the WCF and damn near took us 7 games last year, if they improved only slightly they are contenders no doubt about it at all. They could upset that team in round one they face, no doubt they are scary and whether Spurs fans admit it or not that is the truth.

Lmao its like people don't understand that he's replacing KENDRICK FUCKING PERKINS. I understand he brings "veteran leadership," "toughness," and "big game experience," all things that are extremely overrated when you are a shitty basketball player with no skills, and that he is a far better defender than Kanter (says more about Kanter than Perk tbh). But people are acting like Kanter is being asked to play the same role as Perkins when it was obvious that Perkins was flat out redundant on this roster. They have their defensive big men in Ibaka, Adams, and to an extent Collison, they needed someone who could actually score the ball there. And his shitty defensive numbers could very well be attributed for playing for a really shitty Jazz team. Don't ask me though, literally everyone and their mom is saying this trade makes them better because it kind of obviously does. And anyone thinking that losing reggie jackson for dj augustin wasn't a win for this season clearly hasn't been watching them, the team clearly hated Reggie and he was obviously just trying to put up shots and numbers for his next contract.
