..according to Jalen Rose and Doug Collins, after the recent acquisitions

Can't say I disagree with them tbh. IF they're healthy, and if Kanter can come in and give them just 12 points in the paint or so per game, they will really tough to stop.

Augustin was a good pickup as well to replace Jackson. He's having an efficiently solid year.

Novak and Singler are bench fodder, but can both shoot the rock when called upon.

What say you?

No HCA at all in any round, so I don't see it. Plus Durbeta has been pretty subpar this season outside a few games. Could see them reaching the WCF but the Grizz or Dubs will be waiting.

lol, overreacting to a couple of good games in February with the marquee win being against the Mavs who shot fucking horrible vs them :lol

They aren't going to win 3 series without hca.

It's an uphill battle, no doubt. But, if they beat GSW in the first round, I could see them beating any team in the West in a 7 game series w/o HCA, including us. Unless we hit our stride at the end of the season and are completely healthy, then I'd still favor us, but this is based on hright now.

They vastly improved, and are certainly contenders, but to call them favorites over the Warriors, Memphis, or even Spurs in the West is pretty ridiculous

Durant's health issues, notwithstanding?

They aren't going to win 3 series without hca.

Pretty much this. The 95 rockets are the only team ever to win a title without HCA. The '99 Knicks are the last team to go 3 rounds without HCA to get to the finals. I don't see OKC accomplishing that feat its pretty damn rare.

it's gonna take some time before the new signings mesh up well together (check the Mavs), so I believe the spurs are still the favorite to come out of the west and win it all even though there're some serious challengers in the west like Mavs, GSW, OKC, Memphis and Clippers.

man I like OKC, really hope they beat the marking divas the NBA has been shoving in front of us.

agustin is terrible. singler sucks too. Kanter's signing is annoying but anyway he's not even close to be ready for the play offs.

If Durant is healthy and his true self, obviously they are as good as any team... pretty big if though.

Watching them play the hornets and they don't look that great but then again Durant is not playing.

If their 3rd scorer is Dion Waiters, no.

Mo Williams and Russ are trading baskets back and forth.

There's a difference between an established core group's strengths and a the "new" look's strength where predictability is concerned. A team that's struggled to make the playoffs probably won't win more than 1 non-HCA series, however a team that gains exponentially through a late season acquisition is misleading, since they are a strong team other than odd injuries and now when/if they come together, could be a real motherfucker.
