No replies? Man that was a great game...

Down by one in the bottom of the 9th and Ensberg homers....
Down by one in the bottom of the 10th and Ausmus homers....
Down by one in the bottom of the 13th and they get two and the win

Had to fight through two bad calls, used every position player, had to come back twice against Isringhausen... great game

Awesome game. When Edmonds hit his second homer, I thought it was over. I thought wrong.

It aint tough to come back against Isringhausen.

Closer is probobly one of their few weaknesses.

BTW,

Props to the Astros for being one of the few teams that still plays god bless america.

obviously, after everyone forgot about 9/11, it was ok to stop playing that, and just go back to "Take me out to the ballgame"

heaven forbid you salute your country more than once in a game.

Props Astros, too bad your in the same division. If you were in the NL East, youd be my second favorite team.

The National Anthem is played before every game. This is not some cult here, we do not need to try to brainwash everyone with American Pie during every game. Before each game, we all stand and show respect to our country and for what the flag stands for...that is enough IMO.

It was okay to stop playing that.

It's cool that the Astros do it and all, but I'm not going to question the patriotism of teams that chose to stop after a couple of years. Life goes on.

What a game!

Astros down 3-2, Lamb hits a 3-run homer. Phils score 3 in the 8th to make it 6-5. Biggio hits a 2-out 3-run HR off of Billy Wagner in the ninth to take the lead (after a 2-out error allowed Vizcaino to reach and Taverez reached on an infield single).

Hold it Lidge!

(It's official... I'm finally into the baseball season)

Wagner (4-3) retired the first two batters in the ninth before Jose Vizcaino reached on third baseman David Bell's fielding error. Willy Taveras beat out an infield single to shortstop, and Biggio followed with a drive into the left-field seats for his 20th homer.

"I tried to get it up, but that's his zone," Wagner said. "You have to make sure it's up enough."

Making matters worse for Philadelphia's All-Star closer, Biggio just signed a jersey for Wagner's son.

"Here you go, son, here's a jersey from the guy who just homered off your dad," said Wagner, who got the loss for the second straight game after not facing Houston the first nine times the teams met since he was traded to Philadelphia in 2003.

:lol

The key was Willie Tavaras beating out the throw to 1st on an infield single...he never gave us and just ran his as off.

You do not pay respect to your country by having it rammed down your thoat at a sports event.

We all show our respect during the National Anthem....anything more is just redundant.

TPark, if you had your way, we would follow Nazi Germany's example by having to goose step and chant Heil America every 10 mins. :rolleyes

It was a great game.

I miss Billy Wagner but I'm glad he's giving up game-winning bottom of the ninth homers for another team now.
