Will we reach 50 wins? We need to go 16-11 to reach 50 wins for the season.

I predict 53-29

I will say yes. The question is can they get more than 50 with the remaining schedule that looks like it will be difficult. Hoping they can get 55.

16-11 is easily achievable. They've been much better than that percentage-wise since Jan 1.

They prolly will. Just depends on how they finish the RRT; if they finish 3-6 then maybe. Point is they looked primed to get murdered in round one.

No, they will go on a 9+ game losing streak coming up.

technically, the streak means very little, you get no reward for 50 wins

but in the big picture... 50 wins is typically considered a benchmark for "good" teams to hit... and to have hit that every year for so long is just incredible. of course it would be 2 longer if not for a season that only lasted 50 games. it's the most amazing run by a sports franchise that i've ever seen. and the only constants have been Tim and Pop

Yah, I've been using the "win 60% of their games" rhetoric, which would include the '99 season, which they would have easily won 50 in. It's amazing that in Duncan's career he will most likely never miss that mark. Another one that is cool to think about is that he will never finish lower than a 7th seed and will likely have won a playoff game every year.

I'd say this level of success is more impressive than winning back to back. Spur fan is easily trolled by Laker fan when it comes to this...but think about it...which is more impressive...winning back to back or winning three titles in three consecutive decades with the same player/coach centerpiece?

Yep, thats all they have left to cling on to as far as yhe spurs go. Longevity >>>>. Back to back is cool but longevity is better imo. I read idiots all the time on Espn boards etc. cling onto that to hate, their only so called argument. You know though they are fans of a rival who's team the Spurs knocked out of the playoffs or just flat out own like the Suns... LA fans just hate #5 so they use that.

The goal of a team is to win championships. You can take solace in the 50 win seasons, it shows consistency, but it's not better than winning rings.

It's still extremely impressive that the Spurs have been the most dominant regular season team and playoff team, though..every year you have new flavor teams like the Bulls, Warriors, etc that don't win anything during the playoffs after great regular seasons, but the Spurs have managed to dominate during both the RS and playoffs..

Be very neat if they could extend the streak with one more year.

Lakers and Spurs both have same ring count since Duncan/Kobe. Lakers fans brag about consecutive titles; Spurs fans about consistency. I think it's at least an open question.

A long run of 50 win seasons without hardware would be hollow.

A long run of 50 win seasons with 5 titles during that run is dominance.

Really going all the way back to 1990 the Spurs have had a great run. You're taking about 25 years with only the 1997 year as a non playoff team. Spurs fans are pretty spoiled.

Spurs need to win 6 out of the last 9 games to make it to 50... Playing against the Mavs, Thunder (2x), Grizzlies, Heat, Magic, Nuggets, Warriors, and Rockets..... LOL never gonna happen. 50 win streak ends now.

Spurs have 12 games left tbh. 12 games left to get 6 wins...

This. Mavs had a pretty good stretch of regular season dominance as well, but only ended up with 1 title..

The West has always been overrated. Cut out the regular season built teams and you have only 1-2 contenders in the West.

I'd still say the Rockets and Grizzlies qualify as contenders...along with us and the Dubs. But yeah, it's still an overrated conference.

Won't take much to keep alive the streaks of 50 win seasons and winning road seasons. Just need one more in each category to get there.

Actually the Spurs have 3 road games coming up, all against potential playoff teams: OKC (first leg of a b2b), @HOU and @NOP. They could lose all three.

And then when he passes to him 4 straight times you ignore it. What's sad is that when Kawhi logs 2 assists in a game, he brings up his career average.

yeah because small forwards are supposed to be racking up assist. there have been multiple recent games where kawhi has had more assists than parker in the 1st/2nd qtrs. and in that game parker passed it to danny twice before he passed it to kawhi who was open. keep being an idiot though.
