LeBRONZE is fed up of the 'non basketball' plays against him and promises to start protecting himself more. :lol @ thinking this guy could survive a week in the 90's era. Malik Hairston, I know what you mean about the 90's era ball being untalented but them niggas were hard as hell. You had to take an elbow just to get 2 points in the paint. You sure this boy could survive back then?

"I don't want to get too much involved in it because I don't want to cry about it because it's not like I'm not able to get back up, but it's a lot of plays that are just not basketball plays," said James, who was kicked in the groin Sunday by Houston's James Harden (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3992/james-harden), resulting in a one-game suspension (http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12410640/james-harden-houston-rockets-suspended-one-game-kicking-lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers) for the Rockets swingman.

Mind you, Shaq played every single game taking every freaking hard foul to his forearm and head for years and never complained about it.

I agree on what you said but the 90's era untalented? It had alot of all time greats and stars in the 90's era, it was not untalented but it wad definitely all of the other stuff you said and then some. They went hard then, pussies today whine after every touch.

It was a non issue until Jonas put on the fake classy act and tried to help James up. If you're a real enforcer, you'd take the foul and not think twice about it. None of that fake nice stuff after you deliver the blow. Lebron was right to respond the way he did.

What you smoking, brah? Don't you know in today's NBA you're witnessing the most talented, skilled, and aesthetically pleasing basketball in NBA history.

I think the 90's era was talented basketball but not the same as the 2000's. I think people immediately look at MJ and think the 90's must have been better. I actually am an MJ fan but he NEVER faced a team to the level of the Spurs of last year or the Celtics of 08 etc.

I still think MJ would have been GOAT even in this era but unable to win 6 in a row ( I know it was really not 6 in a row but same shit)

You had to take an elbow just to get 2 points in the paint.

Mind you, Shaq played every single game taking every freaking hard foul to his forearm and head for years and never complained about it.

Massive exaggerations, especially the first statement.

Same general amount of contact and physicality overall between then and now.

The only difference between then and now is that you can't get into fights or throw absurdly blatant cheap shots and get away with it anymore, so there are less fights in general. Even then, those weren't as frequent as people like to make it out to be, who act as if there were 3 fights and ten clotheslines every single game. :rolleyes

Is this a joke or do people seriously have massive memory problems? 90's is where all the excessive whining to the refs began. Players afterwards realized how it can give you mental edges on refs, and so they take advantage of it. It has nothing to do with being pussies.

It really wasn't that bad of a foul, TBH. I mean, it would cause issues, but Lebron has probably seen worse.

That said, loved it when JV "extended the olive branch" afterwards, massive troll job to try and get in Lebron's head.

The 90's players were not that bad though or it's not the ice age as some act, my point I was trying to make there. They were tough as well, those teams were very physical and less whining as opposed to today where they think they will go to the line or getting breathed on and if they don't they whine.

I agree on what you said man. MJ never even faced a team like the 99 Spurs in the Finals IMO, that team would have given his Bulls trouble IMO. 01 LA might have given them hell as well with the 15-1 team and Shaq out there.

LOL. Bypassing complaining and resorting to throwing punches, for which he was suspended several times in his career. One time after throwing punches wildly at players, he said that it was because one of them touched his nutsack. That might have been when he was at LSU and lost his mind in the SEC tournament.

Hard as hell. :lmao
