The only reason points are important is because the other team has them as well. You only need more than them, even then only 1 more. All else is fluff for internet faggots to argue about.

Who cares? The Iceman tops the list....yet he would trade every single 30+ point game for one FMVP. So who's really winning?

I know...he will. It's honestly surprising he hasn't yet, but that's just a product of Pop's system. Fact is, there would be lots more 30+ games for these guys in other systems. But the Spurs play in a "get hot, go to the bench" system.

I got to go to the game up here in Minneapolis that Tony put up 55 on the Timberwolves.

At least lower it to 53 points so Timmy gets in there.

No, there are players on shitty teams that have had multiple 30pt games. There scoring hasn't changed shit.

Kawhi has similar career hights to Splitter. 26 points each, 16/14 reb, 6/7 assists, 5/3 steals, 12/11 field goals made, 10/9 free throws made, 6/4 blocks made.

Kawhi expends much of his energy on the defensive end so it's pretty impressive that he can throw in as much as 29 on the offensive end as well.
I know he will crack 30, been waiting/watching for it since I first saw the ability in him to do so.

Playoff and regular season statistics are always separated ... a player has a career high and a playoff career high

Who cares
1. Both David and Tim in their prime were better defenders than KL, and they scored more, and were better all around players.
2. As long as SA win why does it matter?
PPG is for trash nba fans. Go watch that and one garbage.

agree 100%. loved watching SAS win without TD scoring because it means sharing the ball and getting others going. fans that have teams with a star doing it all must hate that after a while. never got into rs mvp, alstars and scoring titles, all about the gold.
Still, just excited to see the max potential of the new guy and thats why i care and why it matters to me.

I understand what you are saying, but I would much rather see KL score 16 ppg and play well all around, than max him out, and watch him score 20+ ppg. Look at the Gervin stats. Scoring machine who brought 0 rings to SA.

Yeah, just on the nights when the ball is sticking it's nice to know that theres a guy who can take over. the fun part is seeing how far that takeover can go and i see a ton of potential. ideally and especially for the spurs system, it's obviously better to get multiple guys going, it's what brought the title last summer. there are going to be those nights when KL needs to take over though. foul trouble, injuries, shots not falling, ball movement stagnant etc

Really impressive that Kawhi is already the Spurs 2nd best Finals performer...and he's only 23. Here's all their Finals stats:
Duncan:
20.8 ppg
13.3 rpg
2.76 apg
2.40 bpg
53.8 TS%
Leonard:
15.9 ppg
9.17 rpg
1.33 apg
1.83 spg
65.1 TS%
Ginobili:
14.0 ppg
4.17 rpg
3.52 apg
1.28 spg
58.5 TS%
Parker:
16.5 ppg
2.45 rpg
4.48 apg
50.2 TS%
Parker's the least efficient Spur, like always. It's too bad Kawhi probably won't see a Finals appearance after Duncan retires.

Personally, I prefer a more balanced offense. I'd rather see several players in double figures than one player go for 30+.
