Great player, the game will certainly miss his superior abilities. Great news for us though. Hats off to him, hell of a player.

Thanks for all you did for the Niners, Pat. You'll be missed.

this.
This news really was a gut punch today. Willis and Gore are the only Niner jerseys I own from the York era. Alex Smith is my third favorite Niner of this era, i'd have him ranked higher if not for so many frustrating moments.
I know Willis has had such an interesting life and background even before football, so I hope he finds something better in whatever he does next.

Hahah yup I have no jerseys of current players. Bowman's health is question mark and Staley is too old. No other player is currently worth it.

Willis is probably the 2nd best ILB i've ever seen (Ray Lewis)... dude was tremendous. i remember when we took McClain, he was billed as "the patrick willis of this draft"

Next to Dave Wilcox as the best Niner backer ever.

Still can't believe this tbh....
Saw that guy at Ole Miss and he was a monster. Knew he would be a good pro....but I had no idea he would be this good. Truly one of the LBs I've ever seen.
