Can't really blame it on the guys tbh. Cavs came in and pushed that shit in.
Still it was a chokehob of major proportions. Worst chokejob since game 6 IMO. We were up 10+ with less than 3 mins to go.
Then we missed 4 out of our last 5 free throws. Epic choke

Pop's thinking: "Damn, Kyrie's killing us out there. Better put our defensive specialist, Tony, on him"
we had the game won, even with kyrie playing at god level. leonard got a case of sphincteritis at the end there though. he seems to be a bit of a choker on the line. definitely needs to work on that.

Except Green was on Kylia most of the 4th and OT.

guard the 3 pont line and give up the layup with 3 seconds left. too easy.

Fuck that. At least The Spurs did a great game against a contender not Kings, Suns, Raptors.
Fellas? Kawhi lost this game.
He could have sealed it, but he didn't lose it. He took an offensive rebound, took time off the clock. I wouldn't call that losing the game. There were 4 other people out there who could have done something. Marco had no business out there, and lol any team still playing Bonner this late in the season in a meaningful game (not that this one was).

Kawhi rebounded the ball from a tony ballhog shot...
Pop's thinking: "Damn, Kyrie's killing us out there. Better put our defensive specialist, Tony, on him on the final play of regulation."

Kyrie played the game of his life just to beat the Spurs in OT. That won't happen again.

After 2013, this is a walk in the park.
Kyrie was ridiculous. He can't shoot like that over 7 games. Just one of those nights where he had to be incredible for Cavs to barely win.

Agree but still. This game was on hand. We are 1-5 on OTs this season. Not good
Anyways the choke sucks but is anyone really scared of Cleveland? The Spurs controlled the game. If it takes these kind of individual performances to lose to them I like our chances.
No big deal, really. Spurs played well for 46 minutes and Kawhi missed crucial fts to finish them off. Irving won't be perfect from beyond the arc again. In a seven game series you have to go with the Spurs.

Man I'm really happy about this game. Spurs were in championship form. Irving had an awesome game but he can't do that 4 out of 7.

The main question to me is: can the Spurs maintain this level of play, or are they peaking?

Spurs have to be the all time NBA leader of heartbreaking choke losses.

wouldn't say it was a choke. They kept coming back at us after every run. It had the makings of an upset in the final moments. And of course they did.
I would have thought it was if the Spurs choked a double digit lead, but they never had one long enough.

Sadly this is the truth, just reminded me of that game tonight a little bit with the score but that night the feeling was 100 times worse. I did not want to feel that one again, thank GOD this is not a finals game.
