Team has been complacent all year and given up too many games like that down the stretch (almost happened in that NO game too if not for Asik). They were just on a nice little streak playing some good ball, but against middling to bad teams.

Getting punched in the gut like that in Game 64 is a heck of a lot better than in Game 6 in June when you don't have a chance to regroup. After four relatively cake games, the schedule is brutal for the next ten. Need to use this stretch to ramp up and be playing at tonight's intensity while executing on the little things that failed them tonight - free throws, a couple of missed gimmes and for Pop, adjustments down the stretch.

We'll run into performances like Irving's throughout the playoffs. The team playing at the level it has over the past two weeks can overcome it. Just give me less Beli except against scrubs, hide Parker on the worst perimeter guy while letting him attack now that his offensive game is back, and keep trusting Danny + Kawhi.

Now let's hope they play pissed off ball the rest of the way as opposed to going into a nosedive.

Spurs were fine tonight. It would have been bad for morale if they choked a 20 point lead, but Cleveland was on their tail all game and Kyrie and LeBron just went off. Not worried. But the defense is still awful outside Leonard/Green.

They didn't need a gut check. This was just a wasted opportunity to get some ground in the standings. The team despite the loss is playing much better just sucks they weren't able to make up any ground tonight in the West.

Winner! Double entendre there.

And yes, maybe we didn't need it. I just sure as hell hope this makes them hungrier against west foes.

Sucks to lose ground and also not lock up tiebreaker over Cavs in off chance both make finals. At least Houston and Memphis blew their games tonight too.
