When Asked about his Free throw misses.

Such leadership man..Him, Manu and TD have constantly taken responsibility when they feel like they could have made this or that shot.

Some players blame it on injuries, but the truly great players dont make excuses, they just take the blame and come back stronger..

Yep... unlike certain other players, who when times get tough do shit like sitting out entire months of the season with a sore ass-cheek, throwing their teammates under the bus, and claiming that their team is no longer a title contender, Kawhi is mature enough to take responsibility for his mistakes.

Damn right, you can tell he took missing those FT's hard with the look on his face. He is young, he will solve that problem IMO. He can be clutch and we have seen it in the finals games 6 and 7 of 013 sides the FT missed and last years MVP, he has shown up big in big games (OKC strip as well, huge) before and will again. Regular season loss here so nothing to see here, he will make them next time when it counts.

Reporter: Kawhi just got done saying that he lost the game by missing free throws...

Parker interrupts: No. You can't put everything on Kawhi. Obviously he had two free throws, but we could've made a stop too. You know, we could've made a stop at the end, and we didn't do it so... We can't put everything on Kawhi.

As much as it pains me to say it, Kawhi is a choker at the free throw line and a lot of that has to do with confidence. Just look at his stats comparing the regular season to the playoffs:

REGULAR SEASON FT %
2012-2013: 82.5%
2013-2014: 80.5%

PLAYOFF FT %

“It’s tough right now," Parker said. "It’s tough. Since I’ve been with the Spurs, I’ve never experienced that in a 3-game, 4-game stretch. We’re not making shots. It starts with me. I’m not making shots. Our 3-point shooters are not making shots, and everything is tough. We just have to stay positive."

Wouldn't even of had the FTs if he didn't get the offensive rebound in the first place. Balances out.

Watching the replay just validate how good Kawhi has become in just a couple of years in the league and the last thing I want for this kid is to lose his confidence. Just continue his drive to be better and how to lead, improve his game offensively, consistently, practice, & practice more .

Wildcat67
03-13-2015, 06:49 AM
Lol it balances out. No it doesn't

Yes it does, if he didn't get the rebound they get the ball and either make the 3 or not, same exact result.

If two event are both removed from the game positive and negative and as a result the game is at the same exact point that is the definition of balancing out. But you are a Kawhi hater troll so of course you would disagree.

Clearly Kawhi's choking is a result of his poor self esteem and low confidence. This is why Pop never yells at him and instead fawns over him. Just trying to build the guy up so he won't continue to choke. Pop is doing all he can but the question is what can we as fans do to help Kawhi realize...
